World Tourism Day 2025:Kenya

Tomorrow, September 27th, 2025, Kenya will celebrate World Tourism Day with an exciting nation-wide offer: all Kenyan citizens will enjoy free entry to national parks, reserves, sanctuaries, museums, sites, and monuments. Both the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the National Museums of Kenya will open their gates to the public, giving everyone the chance to explore and learn from Kenya’s rich natural and cultural heritage at no cost.

The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, under the leadership of Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, will grant free entry to all Kenyan citizens visiting KWS-managed national parks, reserves, and sanctuaries. The initiative aims to inspire Kenyans to reconnect with the country’s breathtaking biodiversity and to foster a collective commitment to conservation and education. Tomorrow, families across Kenya will be able to experience first-hand the wonders of iconic places like Nairobi National Park, Amboseli, Tsavo, and many more, without any entry fee.

Kenyans will be encouraged to take full advantage of this offer to explore, learn, and celebrate the country’s remarkable wildlife and landscapes. Comprehensive guidelines and updates for visitors will be available on the KWS website and across their social media channels. Further inquiries can also be made by calling the KWS toll-free number (0800597000) or via their WhatsApp customer number (0726610509).

This gesture will enable Kenyans to discover and appreciate the nation’s cultural and natural heritage. From the Nairobi National Museum to regional museums and famous historical sites, citizens will be granted open access to a wide range of educational experiences and exhibits.

This exclusive offer is meant to bring communities together to explore Kenya’s diverse artifacts, stories, and traditions, and to encourage families and youth to learn more about their heritage in an engaging and accessible way.
